Lingcod, Rockfish, and crabbing
Winchester Bay
Fishing Report Winchester Bay Oregon.
Lingcod and Rockfish bite has been hot, as ocean conditions allow us to get out. Crabbing is starting to pick up in the ocean and will continue to get better. We are looking forward to our halibut opener May 1st limited to two per angler. Striper fishing has been good in the estuaries, and will get better as they move down into the main stream Umpqua. Pink fin perch fishing is drawing near in the bay as Mother’s day approaches. There have been a few Springers caught in the Reedsport area, with fish being targeted up river. Shad fishing is coming up quick in the main stream Umpqua. Now is the time to get your seats booked for halibut, pink fin perch, striper, small mouth bass, lingcod, rockfish, shad, and fall salmon. Please remember to wear your PFD’s and ensure they are in good working order.
