About The Captain: Travis carries a six-pack charter license, is CPR/First Aid certified, and is a TWIC card holder. He was raised fishing with his parents in and around Washington State and the oceans off the coast of Washington. He moved to Oregon in 1991 and started fishing the Rogue River.&nbsp;&nbsp; A few years later, Captain Travis moved to the beautiful Umpqua Valley where he now lives with his wife and three children. It did not take him long to start fishing the Umpqua for Salmon and steelhead and eventually bass. Travis soon started learning deep-sea fishing in the Pacific Ocean off the Oregon Coast.&nbsp; He has learned the skills of fishing for several different kinds of fish through lots of hard work, practice, and some great teachers. He accredits his love of fishing to his late mother, known to the family as Granny Jean.
